By Bidz Dela Cruz

Last week’s USA Women’s 10-kilometer was dominated by Molly Huddle (USA). Her finish was dramatic though, over running Aziza Aliyu (Ethipia) by a fraction of a second at a time of 32:53.

Amy Rudolph (Huddle’s training buddy), led much of the race with Tebya Naser (Ethiopia), Aliyu and Huddle close behind her all along.  Naser bagged the 4th place while Rudolph got fourth.  More than 7,000 women ran in the 32nd annual event, held in Boston.

This winning moment helped Huddle finish 3rd in the (overall standing of) women’s USA Running Circuit.  Deena Kastor was victorious her second time in this Circuit championship with 45 points, followed by Katie McGregor (36 points) and Huddle (32).
